When is the court office open for business?

The Court office hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, except for holidays.

Can I reschedule my arraignment?

No, you cannot reschedule an arraignment hearing.  Your appearance is mandatory at an arraignment.  If you fail to appear, a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest.


I received a parking ticket while I was in Court at the County.  Do I have to pay it?

Yes, attending court is not an automatic defense for violating the City’s parking ordinance.  If you want to contest the parking ticket, you must follow the instructions on the back of the ticket.


I received a jury summons but I can’t serve.  Who should I talk to?

You may contact the Jury Clerk at the Kitsap County Clerk’s office at 360-337-7166.


Where do I get a passport?

You may contact the Kitsap County Clerk’s office at 360-337-7164.


Where can I do community service work?

If you have been authorized to perform community restitution work for a Port Orchard Municipal Court case, you must perform the community restitution work for the Kitsap Community Resources (KCR) City of Port Orchard branch.  You must have the Order authorizing community restitution work before reporting to KCR.  Please contact the court at 360-876-1701 for further information.


I just received a delinquent notice on a parking ticket but I sold the vehicle before the parking ticket was issued.  What do I do?

File a Department of Licensing Report of Sale with the court immediately.  Be sure to include either the parking ticket number or vehicle license number when submitting paperwork for a parking ticket.

Can I pay my fine by credit card?

Yes, see PAYMENT OF FINES.


I just received a collection notice.  How many days do I have to pay my fine before it goes to collection?

You have 30 days from the date of the notice to pay your fine before it is sent to collection.
