As directed by the City Council, the Planning Department has undertaken a review and update of the standards and preferred options for lighting within the Downtown Overlay District, along Bay Street, and the Bethel Gateway. As the City moves forward with redevelopment of the area, having a coordinated lighting plan will allow both the City and private property owners to make future improvements as part of a cohesive plan. The Planning Department, with the assistance of the Planning Commission and Downtown Merchants Association, has identified five alternative design options for LED lighting fixtures. The next step in the process is to receive valuable input from the public as to the best option for lighting design for the Downtown area. Please take a moment to review the options in the link below, and then vote for your preferred alternative. VOTE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE FOR YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN!
