Elections for the City of Port Orchard are handled by Kitsap County who administers all Federal, State, County, Municipal, and Special Purpose District Elections held within Kitsap County. This includes:

  • Implementation of political and taxing district boundary changes
  • Verification of signatures on ballots, initiatives, referenda, and petitions
  • Accepting candidate   filings and ballot measures
  • Preparation of printed, audio, and electronic ballots and election materials
  • Preparation and distribution of election equipment and supplies
  • Training and assignment of election workers
  • Processing, tabulation, and reconciliation of ballots
  • Certification of election results
  • Maintains electronic historical records of past elections for Kitsap County
  • Conducts County voter outreach and voting accessibility programs
  • Maintains all voter registration records in Kitsap County
