Port Orchard

The citizens of Port Orchard helped design and guide the creation of the newest Port Orchard regional park. The site, McCormick Village Park (MVP), is a large tract of land lying just north of Old Clifton Road and west of Chanting Circle. The MVP development subcommittee met once per month (see notes below), and reported to the Planning Commission at their regularly scheduled meetings.

With the help of a professional park planning consultant, alternative park designs were submitted for public comment and City Council approval. The City Council approved the preferred alternative in December 2010. Construction of some elements is expected to begin summer of 2011.
