BiographyJim was elected to the Port Orchard City Council January 2008.. He retired after 40 years of Civil Service. His expertise is in Long Range Strategic Planning, Cost & Budget Control, Planning & Estimating, Streamlining Business Processes, Management and Decision making at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He served as Chief Planner & Estimator of 250 employees planning Navy ship work for 5000 production workers, Business & Strategic Planning Office Program Manager, Submarine Program Budget Manager and Ship Superintendent. Jim served as the National President/ Officer of Naval Civilian Managers Association for 12 years. He was the Shipyard Chairman (Combined Federal Campaign/United Way) for 1996. He’s an Army Veteran (Radar Specialist & Military Policeman), a 42 year member of ELKS, 25 year member Federal Managers Association and a former union steward for the IBEW. He also served as Assistant Project Superintendent for Kitsap County Fairgrounds Log Cabin restoration project for 9 years He’s been a resident: Kitsap County for 55 years and Port Orchard 27 years where he lives with his wife, Paulette. |
