REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL BLACKJACK CREEK TRAIL CULTURAL RESOURCES SURVEY MAY 6, 2011 The City of Port Orchard Planning Department is inviting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide cultural resources assessments and survey associated with the Blackjack Creek Wilderness Trail project, a 1.25 mile trail along the Blackjack Creek corridor. A portion of the trail will be constructed on both disturbed fill and relatively undisturbed soils. The City will install an ADA accessible path that will access new viewing platforms for a component of the trail and a natural surface trail. The primary goal of the RFQ includes the evaluation of the trail project site for the effects on archaeological or historic resources, meeting all requirements of the Washington State Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation, as required of a federally funded project.
