| Public Works Director is staff liaison. Committee members also serve as City representatives on the Sewer Advisory Committee meeting with the Karcher Creek Sewer District Commissioners to discuss the JWWTF. Library Board The Port Orchard City library shall be managed and controlled by a board of five trustees, who shall be appointed by the mayor with the consent of the city council, of which four shall be residents of the city and one may be a non resident of the city. Planning Commission (meets the third Monday of every month) Planning Commission members serve a six-year term and are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Commissioners provide recommendations to the Council on land use actions such as rezones, special use permits, subdivisions, and comprehensive plan amendments. Design Review Board The Design Review Board consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor for three-year terms which expire on December 31st.
