As a Renter, can I sign up to receive Water/Sewer billing?

No. Per per Council Resolution No. 1237, all Water/Sewer bills must be sent to the property owner.


How is water billed for residential service?

Water meters are read and billed bi-monthly. A single-family residence is billed a basic water rate along with any water consumption over 5,000 gallons.


What is a basic bill amount for minimum usage?

The basic water rate for a single family residence with a ¾” meter within City limits is $22.50 bi-monthly.

The basic water rate for a single-family residence with a ¾” meter outside City limits is $33.75 bi-monthly.

The base rate for sewer service for a single-family residence within City limits is $79.50 bi-monthly.

The base rate for sewer service for a single-family residence outside City limits is $119.25 bi-monthly


I left a message about a billing error, can I assume it was fixed?

No. The city cannot take responsibility for lost voice messages. We always recommend you speak directly to one of our staff before assuming your issue is resolved.


Is the water chlorinated?

Properties receiving water service from the City of Port Orchard have their water chlorinated.


Is the water fluoridated?

Water is fluoridated for properties within the City of Port Orchard. Properties located within McCormick Woods subdivision do not receive fluoridated water.

NOTE: For payments in person City Hall hours are 8:00 to 4:30. There is an after hours drop box located at the front door of the Prospect Street entrance.

Please do not deposit cash into the drop box.
