Description of Proposal: The proposed project is a conditional use application for the development of a 131,118 square foot self-storage facility with two manager’s units on site on six tax parcels encompassing approximately 6.79 acres. The development consists of 10 independent structures accessed via Sidney Road SW. The development will provide stormwater facilities, water and sewer service and normal infrastructure related to commercial development.
SEPA Threshold Determination: A SEPA Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (MDNS) was issued for the project on August 13, 2018. No appeals were filed for the MDNS by the August 27, 2018 appeal deadline.
Required Permits: The following local, state, and federal permits/approvals are needed for the proposed project: Land Disturbing Activity Permit, Stormwater Drainage Permit, SEPA (issued 8/13/2018), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit, Right-of-Way Permit, Capacity Reservation Certificate, and Building Permits.
Applicable Code(s): Port Orchard Municipal Code Title 20 as adopted on February 15, 2018, WAC 197-11 SEPA Rules.

Review of Documents: A copy of the hearing record, including the application and supporting documents, are available for inspection by the public at no cost. A copy of the staff report will be available for inspection at no cost at least seven (7) days prior to the hearing. Copies will be provided at the requestor’s cost.
Comment Period: Any person may appear and provide public testimony or submit written comment until the close of record by the Hearing Examiner.
