Dear citizens of Port Orchard, and other visitors to this site;

I welcome you to the Police webpage for the City of Port Orchard, Washington.  There are several links provided to direct you to information relevant to our police department and the services we provide.

My priorities for our police department are being responsive to the citizens; investigating crimes to the fullest; working with the community to solve quality of life issues that may, or may not, rise to the level of a criminal offense;  being transparent; and having, and maintaining, documented accountability for every member of this department.

Taking crime reports, investigations, and enforcing traffic laws, are an important part of our officer’s responsibilities, but our officers are also actively involved in the community.  Our community policing is documented through problem oriented policing projects. These projects are developed by the officers, who work with other stakeholders to impact and solve issues that have a history of disrupting the quality of life for our citizens. Our officers will complete over fifty of these projects annually.

I am proud of the officers and civilian members of this department. The work that they do for the citizens of Port Orchard reflects positively upon the highly educated, multi-talented individuals, with a commitment to the well-being of our city and citizens.
