AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 20.26 POMC – DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS

On Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 6:00 pm, the Port Orchard Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed revisions to the City’s code requirements for development agreements in POMC 20.26 (Permitting and Development Approval – Development Agreements). The City proposes to clarify requirements, provide more detailed guidance, state the City’s legislative authority to enter into a development agreement, and include specific limitations on what can be addressed in development agreements. Pursuant to RCW 36.70B.170, the Port Orchard City Council has the authority to review and enter into development agreements with individual developers for specific projects, which can allow flexibility and innovative application of the City’s code requirements while remaining within the legal framework of those requirements.

In accordance with the Governor’s “Stay Home-Stay Safe” Order, the City is conducting these public hearings remotely via telephone and Zoom video conferencing. Zoom and telephone access information is below:
