Road Work and Detours

The City is dedicated to providing information to citizens regarding road closures, flagging, and scheduled contractor work with location/date/times.

WSDOT Paving of City Off Ramps

Beginning Monday, April 22, WSDOT will be paving the SR16/ Tremont/ Old Clifton off ramps.

There will be shoulder and single lane, short duration closures.

St. Andrews Drive SW Road Work

Road work is scheduled to begin the third or fourth week of April for installation of a new sewer main from Well No. 11 to the closest sewer main.

St. Andrews Dr. SW between Vardon Cir SW and Amherst Wat SW. Please plan accordingly for delays, traffic control will be in place. Observe and obey all signs and flaggers. Working hours 7:00am- 3:30pm Monday-Friday

Pottery Ave Non-Motorized Improvements Project

Construction is scheduled to begin April 22nd on the City’s Pottery Ave Non-Motorized Improvements project. The first phase of work is anticipated to occur between SW Berry Lake Rd and approximately 300’ south of the southern Cedar Heights Middle School driveway entrance. The southbound lane of Pottery Ave will be closed. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone. Please drive slowly and obey posted signs during construction.

PSE will be performing utility pole relocations along Pottery Ave near Sunset Lane and approximately 200’ north of the Lippert Dr intersection. Work is anticipated to occur between April 23rd and April 30th. Please direct inquiries to Puget Sound Energy regarding this portion of the work.

Updated information will be provided throughout the duration of the project.

Improvement Project at SR16 at the Tremont Street Ramp

Beginning Monday, May 1, 2023, improvements are scheduled to begin at the ramp at Tremont Street and SR16. Flagging operations will be provided for traffic control and work is anticipated to last 3 months.

This traffic improvement project will add a right turn lane to the west bound Hwy 16 off ramp at Tremont Street and a center turn lane to enter west bound Hwy 16 from Tremont Street.

Please proceed with caution as traffic delays are expected.
